CPD Merched Bangor Women’s FC, in partnership with The BeActive Wales Fund, City Energy and City Training Group, will deliver a Young Football Coach Development Programme starting in Sept 2023.
An open evening will be held at The Farrar Suite, Nantporth Stadium at 18:30hrs on Wed 12th July to explain the programme and allow interested applicants to ask questions.
The aim of Young Football Coach Development Programme is to provide:
A sustainable training scheme to develop young coaches through formal qualifications and mentoring to become Football Coaches of the future.
Eligibility and selection:
• Over 16’s studying at local Secondary Schools and Coleg Menai (pupils aged 16 by Sept 30 2023 are also eligible)
• Participants will only be selected following receipt of references and a satisfactory DBS check.
The Offer:
• FAW Qualifications funded by the scheme:
• DBS Enhanced Clearance
• Football Leaders Course (£100) – 6 hour Online Course
• First Aid (£50) – 3 hour Online course
• Safeguarding (£50) – optional 3 hour course
• FAW C Certificate (£375) – if able to commit to 5 Day course with on-line learning and homework
• Mentoring by qualified and experienced coaches
• CV Enhancing
The Commitment
• Attendance on Football Association of Wales Training Courses
• Available to assist our coaches Tuesday Evenings at Nantporth 3G.
Summary
This is an excellent opportunity for pupils with an interest in coaching and is open to all irrespective of experience in football. All we are looking for is commitment and enthusiasm to deliver training to our players in a friendly and welcoming environment.
